Animal Farm is one of the master pieces of political satire by George Orwell, first published in England on 17 August 1945. Critics often consider it as the allegory of Russian revolution, but we can also compare it with our own country's politics. He tried to make us understand that how a totalitarian state comes into being, gain power and how a revolution can be corrupted.
The story is about animals who rebel against their human owner named Mr. Jones, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, they were betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon.
The book explores various themes such as class struggles, inequality, power, control and corruption.
The story of Animal Farm will always have lessons to teach us about the ways that people abuse power and manipulate others.
